Anyway, after a quick 30 minutes on the bike we met our friends Marley and Courtney at the bakery, A&J King to pick up a little snack and some bread for dinner and to just play. I bought a delightful almond chocolate treat for the "now" and a fougasse for the dinner party we were invited to at our neighbors with whom we share a driveway.
I took Marley out for a ride around the block on the back of the bike- she loved it! Methinks Court will be getting a seat of her own and we'll have two adorable bike riding toddlers.
When Graham and I got home in the late afternoon, I was really in doubt that we would make it to the dinner party. He spent from about 455-555 crying, crying, and crying. He cried while he was
We met over at David and Liv's for a potluck. It was a really enjoyable evening with tons of delicious food. We the full family that owns the house and there cute as a button daughter who is just three and half months old. She was just so sweet! *sigh* babies.
I was able to put Graham down to bed and return to enjoy a glass of wine and some uniterrupted adult conversation! It was heaven.
Graham was up early again this morning- 520 is pushing it just a little, 4 nights in a row. Yawn... but since I had a year of nights waking up multiple times, I really can't complain too much.
We went for another bike ride. It wasn't my intention to end up at the Willows again, but the rode I took runs parallel to the main access road. We ended up exploring the side streets. This is a little gem in Salem. The majority of the house are absolutely gorgeous- it really has the seaside feel and look. A bonus was that we ended up running into a perfect playground. Graham had a blast. I posted some pictures over at Shutterfly... here is just a peek.
a year ago that might have meant something entirely different as i was still a human milk machine 24/7 to my son... those days are over baby and boob tube is a sexy flat screen [hey wait just like my chest! damn you] wait i am meandering here to the point of this post: what am i watching these days.
with the end of the writers strike, i was happy for the return of my primetime network shows, like Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, How I met You Mother, The Office...I mean for months on end i had to satiate my hunger for t.v. with reruns and high quality "reality" shows like The Hills [i can't believe i am outing myself in my second post- but this past weekend i actually watched all the episodes from OnDemand in HD no less]; ANTM [that's America's Next Top Model for those of you not in the know], Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency, amongst assorted TLC programs, cooking shows, decorating shows, and assorted other crap programming.
all of this just reminds me of the good old days when i would tuck into series like The West Wing, ER wait that is still on, Gilmore Girls [so what? that is such a classic to me. stop snarking, its not like I said Dawson's Creek! sheesh], Law and Order of the old days, Seinfeld, Friends... waaahaaa i miss my old shows- does that make me old?
talk amongst yourselves, topic- tv shows: what do you love that's gone, what do you miss.
